LOWESTOFT TO LANDS END 2009

A Side to Side Demonstration Run

This run, organized by Janet Edroff of the North Herts. Centre of the 750 Motor Club with the assistance of the Norfolk and Cornwall Centres, who will man the start and finish points, is billed as a 'Demonstration Run'. There is no set timescale and no set route but as a minimum participants will have to travel 450 miles to get from one side of the country to the other. The start point at Ness Point in Lowestoft is the easternmost point in the country whilst Lands End marks the westernmost point.

The event has been organized by the 750 Motor Club to mark it's 70th anniversary, one of the cluster of anniversaries that coincide this year and replicates similar events held to mark the 50th and 60th anniversaries.

Participants set off from Ness Point under the shadow of 'Gulliver' the huge wind turbine on a fine sunny morning with a handshake from the Mayor of Lowestoft.

Video of the cars leaving Lowestoft can be seen below:

A gallery of photos of the cars as they gather and set out on the journey is now viewable in the Members Area.

We would be grateful for any photos or video taken of the cars further along the run.
