'Drive It Day' Scenic Run into the Peak
District National Park

Meet at the Swan Inn car Park,
Draycott in the Clay, on the A515 for a 10am Start.
It is an easy run of around 50
miles and has some wonderful views (weather
permitting)...and passes along country lanes and through
some 'rural' farmyards.
Near to the end of the run we
will stop at a Garden centre south of Ashbourne for a self
service style lunch at their terrace restaurant. There is
plenty of retail therapy for the ladies! or for all to stock
up on gardening requirement, and also a pleasant walk
through the grounds and woodlands of a Victorian stately
home for those wishing to walk off their lunch after sitting
in the car all morning!!
After lunch there will be a short
run of approximately 5 miles through nearby country lanes to
join up with the main A515, passing our start point and
onwards home.
